What this site collects, why we hold it, how long we keep it, and how to have it removed. It covers everyone who writes to us through the site — buyers asking for a quotation and people applying for a job.

Who this comes from
This site is operated by THEHNM LLC, trading as TheHnm — a limited liability company registered in Illinois, United States. THEHNM LLC decides why and how the information described below is used, which makes it responsible for it.
For anything in this notice, write to hello@thehnmapparel.com. Questions about an application are better sent to careers@thehnmapparel.com.
What we collect, and why
We collect only what you type into one of the forms on this site, or send us by email. There is nothing else — no advertising cookies, no analytics, no tracking pixels, and no profiles built from your behavior.
Scroll the table sideways to see every column
| Where | What | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Quotation request | Name, company, email, telephone, and the styles, quantities and colors you describe | To price the work and reply to you |
| Capability deck request | Name, company, email | To send the deck, and to know who holds it |
| Job application | Name, email, telephone, the city and state you live in, earliest start date, portfolio or LinkedIn link, what you write in the notes, and your resume file | To assess your application for the role you chose |
| Live chat | Only the words you type | To answer you. The chat is a written script running in your own browser — nothing you type is sent to us or stored anywhere, and it is gone when you close the tab |
| Web host records | IP address, browser, page requested, date and time | Kept automatically by the company that hosts the site, for security and to keep it running |
Sensitive information
We do not ask for it and we would rather not have it. Please do not send us your date of birth, a photograph, your nationality, your marital status, health information, or a government ID number, at any stage before an offer.
Resumes sometimes carry these things anyway. If yours does, we do not use them in the decision, and we do not copy them anywhere else.
Who else sees it
Applications and inquiries arrive as ordinary email, so the company that provides our email service holds a copy in the ordinary course of delivering it. Our web host holds the server records described above. Both act on our instructions and for no purpose of their own.
Nobody else. We do not sell your information, we do not share it for advertising, and we do not pass a resume to another employer, a recruiter or a client. The only other circumstance in which we would hand anything over is a valid legal demand, and we would tell you unless the law forbids it.
How long we keep it
Scroll the table sideways to see every column
| What | How long |
|---|---|
| Job applications and resumes | Twelve months from the decision on the role, then deleted — unless you ask us to keep it longer for future openings, or we hire you, in which case it becomes part of your employment record |
| Quotation and deck requests | Twenty-four months from our last contact with you |
| Orders and the correspondence around them | Seven years, because tax and customs rules require it |
| Live chat | Not kept at all — it never leaves your browser |
| Web host records | As long as our host keeps them, typically a few weeks |
No machine decides anything
Every application is read by a person. Nothing on our side scores, ranks, filters or rejects a candidate automatically, and we do not use resume-screening software, personality tests or video analysis. If that ever changes we will say so here before it starts, and tell you how it works.
What you can ask us to do
Wherever you live, and whatever you sent us, you can ask us to:
- tell you what we hold about you, and give you a copy;
- correct anything that is wrong;
- delete it;
- stop contacting you.
Write to hello@thehnmapparel.com. We answer within forty-five days, there is no charge, and asking costs you nothing else — we will never treat you worse, as a customer or as a candidate, for having asked. So that we do not hand your information to somebody else, we reply to the address the information came from; if that mailbox is gone, we may need something more before we act.
If you live in California
You have the rights above under the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act, and they apply to job applicants in the same way as to anyone else. Specifically: the right to know what we collect and why, the right to a copy, the right to correction, the right to deletion, and the right to limit the use of sensitive personal information.
We do not sell personal information and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising, so there is no opt-out link to give you — there is nothing to opt out of. We have not sold or shared personal information in the past twelve months, including that of anyone under sixteen.
You may use an authorized agent. We will ask for written proof that you appointed them.
If you are in the United Kingdom or the European Union
TheHnm is based in the United States, so applying to us or asking us for a quotation means your information is transferred to and held in the United States, where the protections differ from those at home. Please do not send us anything you are not comfortable having held here.
Where the GDPR or the UK GDPR applies, we rely on taking steps at your request before entering a contract — assessing your application, or preparing your quotation — and on our legitimate interest in running and staffing the business. Alongside the rights listed above you may object to that processing, ask us to restrict it, ask for your information in a portable form, and complain to your national supervisory authority or, in the United Kingdom, to the Information Commissioner's Office.
How it is kept
The site is served over an encrypted connection and asks for no password, so there is no account of yours for anyone to break into. Applications sit in a company mailbox that only the people making the hiring decision can open, protected by two-factor authentication, and resumes are not copied onto personal laptops or phones.
No method of sending information over the internet is completely secure, and we will not pretend otherwise. If something we hold is ever exposed, we will tell the people affected and the authorities that require it, promptly and in plain language.
Children
This is a business-to-business site and our roles require working age. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect anything from anyone under sixteen. If you believe a child has sent us something, write to hello@thehnmapparel.com and we will delete it.
Do Not Track
Some browsers send a Do Not Track signal. This site sets no advertising or analytics cookies and follows you nowhere, so there is nothing for that signal to switch off. We honor it by not tracking you in the first place. No third party collects personally identifiable information across other websites through this one.
Changes to this notice
If we change anything that matters, we will change the effective date at the top of this page and say what changed. If the change affects information you have already sent us — a new recipient, a longer retention period — we will email you before it takes effect, at the address you used.
